Specializing in Gynecologic Oncology
Dr. Bunn is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in gynecologic oncology. Dr. Bunn specializes in the treatment of endometrial and uterine cancer, in addition to ovarian cancer.
He provides the entire spectrum of cancer care including chemotherapy, cryosurgery of the cervix, gynecologic laparoscopic surgery, hysterectomy, high dose rate (HDR) after loader brachytherapy, and surgical endoscopic procedures.

Specializing in Maternal and Fetal Medicine
Dr. John Nosovitch was appointed to the OB/GYN department at Upstate Medical University in November 1997. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in material and fetal medicine.
Dr. Nosovitch’s clinical interests include HIV in pregnancy, medical complications of pregnancy, and ultrasonography and diagnosis of fetal anomalies.

Specializing in General Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Minimally Invasive Surgery
Dr. Maureen Burke is a board-certified OB/GYN who joined Upstate in 2015 after completing her residency training in Connecticut. She specializes in complex GYN care, including management of abnormal pap smears, chronic pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, family planning, pediatric/adolescent gynecologic care, and minimally invasive hysterectomies. She also enjoys complex obstetrics. She has served as Assistant Program Director for the Upstate OB/GYN residency program since 2015, as Medical Director of the University OBGYN Associates Office since 2019, and as Generalist Division Chief since 2021.

Specializing in General Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Brian Thompson was appointed to the OB/GYN department at Upstate Medical University in February 2004. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Thompson’s clinical interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia, menstrual disorders, and uterine fibroids. He is also interested in Native American healthcare and underserved patient populations.

Dr. Roy joined the OB/GYN department at Upstate Medical University in October 2020. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Roy specializes in the treatment of cervical cancer, cervical dysplasia, endometrial and uterine cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer, and ovarian cancer. She delivers the full spectrum of cancer care involving chemotherapy and gynecologic laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Cunningham is the Division Chief/Medical Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Division. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in gynecologic oncology.
Dr. Cunningham specializes in the treatment of cervical cancer, endometrial and uterine cancer, fallopian tube cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer, and ovarian cancer. She provides the full spectrum of cancer care including chemotherapy and gynecologic laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Cunningham also supervises and oversees various clinical research trials for the gynecologic oncology specialty.

Specializing in General Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Stanley joined the OB/GYN department at Upstate Medical University in July 1999. He is currently the Associate Director of the OB/GYN Clerkship Program at SUNY Upstate Medical University and is a member of our OB/GYN Generalist Division. Dr. Stanley specializes in high-risk obstetrics, high-risk cesarean sections, as well as family planning and contraceptive counseling. He also focuses on the evaluation and treatment of cervical dysplasia and the medical treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Stanley has a strong interest in many of the social justice aspects of women’s healthcare.
